Why should people have to worry about Melamine?(Irene-Thoughts)

Why do we have to worry about food safety? Why can’t we trust people anymore?

I am so upset that we humans cannot trust each other by food! Did you hear that there was an incident when a person from Japan ate a cup noodle and got his tongue paralyzed? This is very serious. How can you know that there is pesticide inside a noodle that we eat very often? I believe that people have grown very cruel and not faithful anymore. Before, people were able to be trusted, to be trusted by food especially.

How did all this change? The main problem that I think why people have turned this way is because of about getting more money. As the economical system has grown to be quite dangerous, the people who are working would obviously want to get a lot of money. This has changed people’s life. People began this habit of “fooling”. To get more money, people are trying to spend the least money as possible to make the product and sell them as expensive as they can, people are putting melamine, pesticides and so on to make the quality that it has to fool the machine that looks out for those kind of materials.

I believe that we should not sell snacks at all. We should break the root of snacks first. Because there were snacks and all that junk food, it led to all this “melamine and pesticide dilemma”. We should break the root of snacks , junk foods, and street vanders before the next genration. Because of eating all these snacks, this situation has broken out. Why should we have to worry about things like this?

  1. I think it is impossible not to sell snacks. Some kids have both parents working and they need to eat snacks because the parents can’t make home-made food.
Instead the government should make strict laws about food so the adults won’t fool us.

  2. I agree with Jennifer. I love to eat snacks, and almost everyone does too. Therefore, instead of not selling the snacks, the government should make the companies of the food products to be honest and use fresh ingredients. Also, the government should investigate whether the companies use melamine or not.

  3. I atree with you. My mom always says the snacks are bad and I can’t eat those junk foods at all. I sometimes get my own money and buy those. I think I should stop eating junk foods and follow my mom’s instruction. However, I don’t think selling no snack at all is impossible and foolish. The world is going to be crazy without snacks. You cannot stop selling cars because of car crashes. It’s the same thing. We just have to be more careful.

  4. I am upset that people are messing up with the food for others too. Even though they can earn much more money, because of that, more people may die or get hurt.
However, it is IMPOSSIBLE not to sell any snacks. I guess the only way to stop this craze is to be more careful and depend on people’s mind. :(

  5. This is a very serious problem and we should think about it. People are getting sick becasue of this problem and we have to find a way to solve this problem. I think we should trust the government of how they take care of the food products that we import from other countries. Just like Jennifer and Julia said, it’s impossible for us to not sell products that people need. So I think we should just trust them!
